How to Make Ocarina Sheet Music

Creating sheet music tailored for the 12-hole Alto C ocarina requires understanding the instrument's unique constraints. Here is how you can transform a melody into playable notation.

1

Prepare Your MIDI File

Ocarina Workshop requires a standard MIDI file (.mid or .midi) containing a clear melody line. Before uploading, ensure your file focuses on the primary tune. We currently do not support audio recordings (like MP3s or WAVs), PDFs, or arbitrary score uploads.

Important Note on Rights: You must have the rights to use the music. Ensure the piece is your original composition, a public domain work, or music you are otherwise legally authorized to arrange.
2

Upload to the Workshop

Navigate to our homepage and use the Song Request Form. Provide the title, any specific guidance or musical information, and attach your prepared MIDI file. Our system will carefully analyze the pitch and rhythm of your melody.

3

Intelligent Arrangement

The Alto C ocarina has a specific range (A4 to F6). The workshop automatically transposes and adapts your melody to fit within this range. It also evaluates breathing spaces and phrasing so the resulting sheet music is practically playable, not just theoretically correct.

4

Review and Play

Once the arrangement is complete, you will receive a formatted score complete with standard notation and visual fingering tabs for the 12-hole Alto C. You can preview it instantly and begin practicing.
